Me likey, but I can already hear the adjectives that will be used to describe it, cruel, cop killer, unsurvivable, flesh shreader, etc, etc, etc.

They say that about nearly any round made. We can't win for losing with anti-gunners.

This is yet another 9mm wonder bullet. 1,290 feet per second with a 96-grain bullet? That's cute. Give me a .357 Sig round and I'll send a 125-grain 9mm projectile between 1,350 and 1500 feet per second, or send a 100-grain load(Cor-bon Pow-R-Ball) past 1,600 feet per second. This is to say nothing of what a hot .40, lighter .45 load, or even a 10mm will achieve.

Surprisingly, some anti-gunners are okay with these provided they add a cauterizing anti-bacterial core and a transmitter that notifies EMS.

Chris Cox asked if notifying the coroner instead would be acceptable.

Or a transmitter that notifies the NSA of the carrier's location at all times when he carries this ammo? lol

The top comment of this article is exactlly about this:

However, I think this round may see legislative bans brought against it before its full market potential can be released. It's going to be another "black talon" debacle all over again.

You took the words right out of my mouth. That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Remember those nasty "Black Talons". No one would have had a problem with them if they where named pink marsh mellows................................even if they opened up to the size of a marsh mellow.

Logically speaking stuff like that does more damage and is 'in theory' more humane. Could never explain that to the anti gun nimrods tho.

Speaking of which, those new bullets are SWEET.

Reinventing the wheel on these new shredder bullets (IMO). The videos (made by the company that manufacturers them) are very flattering. I will wait to see how they perform against industry standard testing. Of course, they will have to make their vaporware ammo available to those people who can and do test ammo. Until then, stick to the major ammo makers self defense loads and you will be just fine.
The above post is my 2 cents....nothing more.

I have found that the fifty-caliber S&W Magnum carries enough punch to not need fancy ammunition.

A proper shotgun will as well, but carrying one at all times is rather absurd.

I dry fired a S&W 500 once. I'd swear that single-action trigger is only a pound or so.

i shot dad's 500. seemed smooth enough to shoot, just never thought i'd shoot something that made my .44 seem puny by comparison. no upkick, just drives straight back into the palm.
