I didn't realize there were other firearm owners here!

I own 5 firearms. Well, I don't own them per say. My grandfather has been involved in the sport ever since the 1930's and especially after his service as an MP in the Second World War. Since he has aquired dozens of pistols which are by far what constitutes what he has ever owned with the exception of only two rifles. When I strike 18 in a few months I will be applying for my Class B (No Class A in MA until you're 21, I don't know about other states), and assuming i'm approved (I don't see why not) the titles and registration for them will be transfered to me. I love the sport and I believe 100% in our right to bear arms. I also love gun shows, not really to purchase firearms but just to look around and see some cool weapons and guns. This is what we've got...

    Ruger 10/22 Rifle
    Ruger Mark II .22 Pistol
    Ruger Mark III .22 Pistol
    Walther P99 QA Pistol
    S&W .357 model I don't know revolver

I'll be selling the rifle and the Mark III ASAP. Walther is by far my favorite, it's very well made and handle's excellently. Mark II is great as well, the revolver I don't use much because I honestly don't care much for revolvers.

Here are some pictures I've taken over the years...

Not sure exactly what you're referencing, but here's a general definition.

    Class A weapons include:

Firearms, (whether operable or inoperable, loaded or unloaded) including, but not limited to hand, zip, pistol, rifle, shotgun, and starter gun.

Projectile devices, including but not limited to bb guns, pellet (hard and soft) guns, and paintball guns.

Electric weapon or device including, but not limited to stun guns and taser guns.

    Flare guns.

    activity.
    Explosive propellants or destructive devices.

    Dirks.

    Brass knuckles and/or metallic knuckles.

    Billy clubs.

    Tear gas.

    Slungshots.

Chemical weapon or devices (any weapon of such a nature, except a device known as a “self-defense chemical spray,” that is carried solely for purposes of lawful self-defense, is compact in size, is designed to be carried on or about the person, and contains not more than two ounces of chemical).

    Class B weapons include:

Toys which resemble weapons when used in a threatening manner.

Knives of any kind, including, but not limited to, pen, switchblade, or hunting knife.

Chains, including any chain not being used for the purpose for which it was normally intended that is capable of harming an individual.

Pipe of any length of metal or other hard substance not being used for the purpose for which it was normally intended.

Razorblades of any kind or similar instruments with a sharp cutting edge.

Ice picks and other pointed instruments.

    Nunchakus, Chinese stars.

Pepper spray, a mace device with the capacity to hold two ounces or less of the chemical.

Here in Massachusetts we are notorious for the strictest gun laws second only to California I think. I could go on for hours about the various bullshit they've passed in the name of "safety" and "preventing crime", but i'll explain the Class A/B I was refering to.

FID Card permits anyone 15 or older to posses a rifle or shotgun (no handgun), to purchase ammo and to carry their rifle or shotgun to and from the range but not with them for personal defense. They cannot purchase a rifle, shotgun or handgun and they cannot posses a handgun.

Class B permits anyone 18 or older to posses a rifle, shotgun or handgun and to purchase ammo and firearms. They can carry their gun to and from the range but they cannot carry it for personal defense.

Class A permits anyone 21 or older to posses a rifle, shotgun or handgun, to purchase ammo and a gun and to carry that handgun on them for personal defense. Class A is also refered to as an LTC permit (Lisence To Carry).

Those explanations are in my own words and to the best of my knowledge they are correct. I could have had my FID card several years ago but I never use the rifle and since I couldnt even carry the handguns to the range there's really no point to having it. Class A is really the obvious way to go but I can't get that until I hit 21.

    Hope that helps!

I sent an E-Mail request for information to Remington Arms about my 12ga. autoloader and found out it is not a Model 11. It was made before the Model 11 which is generally regarded as being the first autoloading shotgun.
My shotgun is called simply the "Remington Autoloader" with no model number, was made very early in 1905, is the real "first America autoloading shotgun", and is very rare. An example seldom appears at auctions and it is a real piece of history. To me, it reminds me of the old friend who gave it to me for repairing a Parker Brothers double barrel shotgun with a split barrel that had belonged to his dad. My friend had fired the Parker with something in one barrel and it had bulged and split. I made a set of dies that exactly fit the barrel, squeezed it back to shape with a hydraulic press, and carefully silver brazed it back together. The split was in such a position that the wooden forend covered it up. I gave it back to Henry, told him it looked perfect but that it wasn't safe to shoot, and he needed to hang it on the wall. The next time I saw him he was duck hunting with it and you never saw a happier man. He told me that it looked so good that he had to try it. I shook my head and walked away. Henry died of old age so he must have known something I didn't.
    Don't mess with Binky Bear!
