    Finding parts supplier

I have searched all over this site. I am either not good at searching, or there aren't any classic parts suppliers.

Who do you use for the older parts?

I have a 1970 Coupe Deville and have found Rock Auto but they are limited on their selection.

I am looking for a rear flip down license plate bracket and some little things light interior light lenses etc..

Anyone have a reliable source for the older stuff?

I also tried Ebay with no luck.

    Thank you in advance.

    The Mole

Ebay is usually pretty good. Caddydaddy, OPGI, and there's a ton of smaller ops w/ original stuff. I'm sure the guys on here can give you a list of places.

    here are some links:

    http://www.caddydaddy.com/

Then you have the specialties: Air conditioning parts, brake parts, engines, carburetors, fuel/brake/trans lines, interior parts etc.

Not sure who would have a pull down gas door/license holder, that would most likely be a used part, not reproduced. I've gotten lenses off eBay.

What else are you looking for, we can steer you in the right direction.

    Re: Finding parts supplier

Thank you. That list will keep me busy for a while...
The car is pretty complete but there are things I want to replace to clean it up a bit. Interior light lenses, carpet, the clips for the trim on the rear window. I have the trim but
no clips. And I have to figure out how the trim on the inside of the rear window mounts. One thing after another... That's the fun though.
The license plate was being held up with a bungicord.. So that is where I ran into the problem. Found one in Fresno and the yard wanted $100.00 bucks and he said it was
pretty rusty but might clean up! LOL
I must be getting old. I remember when you could to a Checker Auto and buy one! One more yard to check with.
I will look at the list you sent chrisntam thank you again.
Thank you tooth99 ebay is always a option as well.

Here's a place for clips & fasteners. Don't know if its the least expensive or not, you may also want to look on ebay.

I don't know what type of fastener it takes, but the ones on my old '70 Camaro looked like those. Hopefully, you need 50. You will also find some eBay sellers want stupid prices for their items, those I generally pass on unless I have to have it and there are no others available.

I've bought carpet from these folks: http://www.stockinteriors.com/

I got the ultra plush pile with mass backing. They send samples to you at no cost, though they are 1" squares.

    Re: Finding parts supplier

Thanks Chris, I have been looking at the sites. There are a lot of parts I can replace with the sites you sent.

I also located a flip plate bracket about 20 minutes from my house and the guy sold it to me for 40.00. Can't beat that.

    I really appreciate the help.
