    1966 sedan deville columbus

Hey guys, lookin forward to being apart of the forum. I picked up the 66 over this past weekend. It was sitting in a garage for over a year, I bought it started it up and drove it 146 miles home
Looks, runs and sounds real nice. Most defiantly going to add air ride suspension. This is my first cadillac build so any pointers would be awesome.
    Thanks!

Nice ride! Body and rear seat look MINT! Original Parts Group (OPGI.com) will be your friend. I have a black one ('66) and have standard shocks on the way. Good Luck - and keep us posted. I have a '95 SLS that's taking up a lot more time.

    Very sweet ride Brassboots!
Those 66's are a great design. Can't wait to see what you do to it.

    Is this your first Cadillac?
Any other current or former toys we should know about?

I know you have your location in thread title, but you should edit it into your profile so when you post in other threads people know. Climate sometimes has bearing on advice given and received.

What a great find! These cars are pretty bullet proof mechanically, though they do rust in the lower fenders and around the backlight. If it has functional AC, be aware that condensation will drip on the exhaust manifold, causing cracking. A lot of 66 owners install a small gutter to divert the water away. Looks like you have a solid foundation for whatever you want to do with the car. I would only advise that if you deviate from stock, that anything you do can be easily undone. It will make the car much more saleable down the road.

    Welcome to the forums!

Thanks guys, the only toys I have right now are the 66 caddy , 1974 norton commando chopper and a 1974 Yamaha tx500 chopper I built both. Past stuff is a mega overhaul on 1965 mustang fastback gt, mild custom 1963 galaxie 500 total overhaul, 1955 Buick special. Thanks for the tips they will come in handy for sure. Enjoy the pics of my builds!
