1966 Sedan DeVille climate control issue

Well I have been enjoying kicking around in the '66 Sedan DeVille... but now that winter has hit, I have discovered that I have a problem with the climate control, more specifically, the heater. The car only blows cold air, no matter what the setting... And it also only blows out of the dash, not the floor vents.

I have forced the slider at the firewall in by hand and the heat will come on and it blows out the floor like it should... Does anyone have any suggestions where I can begin troubleshooting?

I would at least like to force the heat on for the time so I can drive it in the cold weather until I can spend more time on it later.

    Thanks,
    Marc

Well, if anyone has a problem like this, call Cadillac Tim!... He is a true climate control genius. He gave me a few steps to follow to see if we can track down the problem, but in the meantime, he told me what to do to get heat right now.

I had to move a couple vacuum lines and that did the trick for a quick fix. Going to have to track down the root of the problem though.

    Hello Marc,

I'm glad you got your fix! My dad has a 69' DeVille, so if this happens I will definitely relay this to him.

Also, Marc I tried to inbox you a message but CF relays that your full. Please see my intended message below. Happy Driving!

    Hello FC,

I was searching about who I would get to do my HG & Bolt repair on the internet. And NorthStar Performance, Carroll Cadillac Performance and the CaddyDoctor are the top vendors thus far. Boy oh boy was I in for a treat once I found the thread that annotated a many feud between Tim Carroll and Jake Wiebe. It was great information, yet I still feel confused concerning who to choose. They both seem to be great lovers of Cadillac; as I am. They both seem to have a great product and/or service. Have you ever had this repair done? What was your experience?

Also, It looks like you sell Cadillac(s) on the side. I am very fond of the 93' Deville w/ Convertible Top. If you happen to find any with very low miles in great condition I'd be interested.

Last, but not least. How is the LeafGuard business life. I'm interested in possibly starting this franchise in Atlanta, GA. Any info or help regarding that would be a blessing. You can send me a message at scrooge333333@gmail.com

Well brother! I've been told I can be a bit long winded at times. So now is the time I will close!

    Take care.

    Respectfully,

    John
