    Advice on New Starter

    Re: 1979 Cadillac Deville, 425 CID engine. Need new starter (re-manufactured).

    I would go original equipment: ACDelco. High torque if possible.

    And do not forget to reinstall the brace from the starter nose to the side of the block!!! If missing, get one. Some rebuilts don't have the longer bolt to attach the nose brace. Just swap out yours to the new starter. Without this brace, the starter can crack and// or break the starter drive!
