1969 Fleetwood 75 Limo - Power windows and seat dosen't work

    hello,

I purchased a 1969 Fleetwood 75 Limo. All the power windows and seat doesn't work nor the privacy window at rear of driver seat. What should I expect in fees to have shop repair these?

Any comments or suggestions would greatly be accepted.

    Thanks In Advance,

    Is the horn working?

There is a fuse (Circuit breaker) controlling power windows, power seats and horn labelled "Horns". You should take it out and plug it again. The fuse box is under the dash, at the center.

If fuse is ok, you should check the wiring powering this fuse section. First, be sure this circuit breaker is working ok.

thanks . no the horn is not working. someone placed a red button switch at center of the sterring wheel. I suppose this was the "horn button". It did not do anything when I pressed it.
I will check the fuse and wiring.

In 1969, cadillac horn worked pressing the wheel rim but the wood veneer covering the sensors soon cracked and it was difficult to make it work. Many owners -like me- substituted the 69 wheel for the 70 (or later), with more reliable horn controls. Others used other home remedies like the one on your car. Anyway, if the wire feeding the button comes from the same source than the original horn, the problem should be the fuse / C.B. Good luck!

checked the the horn "fuse" and all others. found out the 40 amp horn fuse is good but no longer available if it blows.
and other glass fuses in tact.
