    Window Motor 70 Deville

I need to replace both my front window motors--70 Coupe Deville.

Where is the best place to find them. I have found several that look the same but have different electrical connections. Does that matter if I just get one with an adaptor? Did they change the motors thru the years? Newer car motors that appear to have the same case are much less than a rebuilt one that says it is for my car. Any ideas?

I know that the motors are the same at least through 1973. I took one out of a wrecked 1973 Olds 98 for my '68 CDV. I cut the connectors off both motors and soldered '68 connector on the '73 motor. It worked great! Your window motor just may need to be cleaned and lubricated. You might try it before you replace it.

I'll try the Olds route, thanks.
The motors are bad--Water got in the doors and they are not salvagable.

I think any GM vehicle from that era will work.

And the connectors with the adapters are fine.
