    That's the exact same thing I was going to say when I saw that picture.
    The phones look like they are just for the passenger to talk to the driver which is kind of pointless in a car that size. Even in the 70s the CB car phones had more to them then those ones do.

    Sorry to come late, but I agree with the rest of the gang. Those TH400s are literally the most durable automatics ever built. I had a beat to hell 78 SDV and when I got it, it would hesitate to go into gear. I pulled the pan, and found so much clutch goop, it was insane. Like I could have made snowballs, err I mean clutch lining balls and threw them at people. Anyhow, I just got all that goop out of the pan, put a new filter on it, pout some ATF in there and away I went. That tranmission shifted perfect, it was soo smooth. I am sure that car hasn't been subjected to a fraction of the abuse the 78SDV had sustained, so there is little doubt a new filter would do the trick.

    I noticed this thread getting kind of stale too, please update soon. I love that car.
