Really really nice, thanks for sharing! I'm partial to the non-vinyl roof versions, they're so sleek!

Re: 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood Series Seventy-Five Sedan 'Downunder'

    Time for an update...
    - I fixed my power window jamming problem by stuffing a strip of felt up inside the window channel to stop the window from reaching its full height and binding up. Works a treat, doesn't leak and never stuck again.
    - I found that a fan clutch from an Australia Holden VP Commodore is identical to a Cadillac one and works great.
    - My rusted instrument cluster is fully restored and installed. Even after lubing the cable, the needle still bounces but in a different way now. I'm going to buy a new replica speedo cable and try that.
    - Perished windlacing replaced.
    - Perished door rubbers replaced with a Steele Rubber kit.
    - Air-conditioner is now running in both front and rear units on R134a gas. My centre dash vent blows much stronger than the side ones so I have to figure out that yet.
    - One of the rear footrest inners was crushed and the replacement one I got was also broken. I made some steel inners that a trimmer messed up with the wrong carpet so I ended up just getting them chromed. One day when I have to replace the entire carpet, I'll get them trimmed then...maybe haha.
    - Every interior lightbulb has been replaced with LED's. That looks awesome with the blue interior!
Still a bit of tinkering and tweaking to go but summer is just about here and it's time to enjoy that air-conditioner this year!

Here's the before and after dash...

My chrome rear footrest...just don't put your feet on them haha...

I drove it just about every weekend over winter, including some wet days grr!

And I'm still intimidating the smaller British cars at the car shows!!!

Dingo - I was reading through this thread, since my daily driver is a '95 Seville SLS, and just picked up a 1966 DeVille. You said there was a list of things wrong when you bought the car - but it looked new! And after your work, it looks like a poster for showroom! Great Job, Mate!

    Dingo,

Great write-up, beautiful car, and a great restoration job. Where are you situated? I'm in Highett and am in the process of buying a Cad.

    Regards from Down Under. ;-)
