Hi all, just thought i'd introduce myself as im new to the forum, and apologise up front for stupid questions i'm likely to ask in the future.
I've just bought a 1965 Cadillac de Ville convertible, and am looking forward to restoring it over the next few months, there is really little that needs doing, so as i go along ill look for some guidance.
i've been looking at the forum, lots of nice caddy people here. There isn't a lot of people that i can ask for advice that know anything about Cadillac here in Adelaide, South Australia, so looking forward to some interaction in the future.

Welcome to the forum, Frankn!
Congrats for your caddy. '65 is one of my favourite years and nothing less than a convertible. You´re a lucky guy. Similar situation in Spain where I live but this is a nice community where there are good people with good cadillac knowledge ready to help. If you are going to face a restoration I recommend you to buy a Cadillac Factory Service Manual for 1965. It will make your relationship with your car considerably easier. Fortunately Internet helps a lot when you try to get parts living out of U.S.
That is a beautiful Cadillac. Welcome to the forum and have fun with the car and the gang here. We have several active members from Australia so you should even have help with finding/importing parts when you need it.
One day I hope to do a bit of sleuthing to find two Aussie pen-pals from my youth. If you like, I could drive your car whilst so doing, keeping an ear and eye to its needs, you know. . . . One destination is Bondi Beach, so the top must go down. But enough about me--congrats on your kewl land yacht (or, tape up the body openings, put flippers on the rear wheels, and come "Ocean Yacht it to visit us "Up-Above!"
