67 part: Where is this fitted?

Hello guys. Iīm helping my friend with his '67 hardtop sedan de Ville. We have solved a valve train problem and now the engine runs great; now we are waiting for a new tranny as the one fitted in the car was burnt up (curiously, the tranny was not the original one. Someone welded another Turbohydramatic -smaller- to the front part of the original one Even the transmission bar was stretched)

Meanwhile we are getting some missing emblems, moldings, mirrors, new headlights and other parts. The car was painted recently and some parts were removed. Thatīs why we found these parts in the trunk:

Does someone know where these parts were fitted? They just had a tag when someone wrote: "Left" and "Right".

    Any suggestion is welcome

They appear to be brackets of some sort, but as to where they go, I'm at a complete loss.

    Thank you guys,

@77CDV: I also thought it was some kind of bracket but Where in such a big car?

@DouglasJRizzo: Iīll check that path. In fact, one skirt was out of its place; We havenīt checked if the other is correctly fitted.
