    Thanks Chris.

    Well a very productive weekend.

    Engine;
    Changed all the valve seals, replace bent rods, cleaned everything up nice nice. Gotta start putting it all back together for my carb arrival Thursday.

    Interior;
    Put some self sticking duct wrap down on the floor for padding/insulation. Got the carpet, panels, rear seat back in. Gotta put e front seat, upper and lower dash back in.

    I wanted to post pics but it won't let me. Idk what's up I'll contact admin I guess.

    Great going! You will have the wind in your hair in no time at that rate.
    You may have hit your limit on photo storage. I used to do that and then have to go in my profile and edit attachments to delete old stuff to be able to add more. Much easier to set up a photobucket acct. and get mobile app and they automatically upload when you take them.

    Well I took her out on her Maiden voyage today. Definitely gotta replace those idk how old tires. Of course I was planning on that any way. They have the old size on there t75 or something. Pretty funny.

    I can't tell if it's the funny tires or if she needs a little front end work. When I had her on blocks I yanked those wheels every way I could and didn't feel any movement. We'll see after she gets new shoes.

    Other than that I think shes running a little lean I haven't played with carb at all. I tinker around with that this week. I've tried to restore all original vacuum tubing but I think I'm gonna bypass the ignition advance vacuum solenoid. Idk how to test the temp switch in the block and I can see that only causing problems.

    She runs well under normal acceleration but if I punch it she seems a little funny and rough afterwards.

    My carb sounds like its sucking in a ton of air. It kinda hisses. My spedo bounces around a bit. Thinking a little lube is in order.

    Gotta get the upper and lower dash back in and that will do it for interior. Top is rough but that will be a winter/spring investment.

    I'll get more pics up soon.

    Her name is Daisy seems fitting that might have escaped being wrecked by JD Hogg on a Hollywood set.

    May you and Daisy have years of happiness together. That is all great news and I am as excited as if I were on that ride with you. You put a lot of hard work in it and will enjoy it all the more because of it. Well done you "Cadillac Rockstar" !

    Check the tubes in and out the carb. Maybe some of them is cracked; if so you can provisionally tape it. As to the funny and rough run try to enrich the mixture and/or speed up idle a little and see what happens. If hissing and malfunction goes on maybe you need cleaning carb and changing gaskets. Changing tires is the first step to discard front end malfunction. After long time sat they could be warped; anyway for safety sake you don´t want 10-15 years old tires on a 5K lbs 375 HP car.

    Congrats for the reborn of Daisy! I hope both of you keep together for many years and through these years Daisy rejuvenate little by little until reliving her splendor years

    Thanks Dave and cad force. The carb is newly rebuilt. It sound like its sucking too much air through the intake. A little tuning and I hope it will take care of it.

    She's getting tires Monday. The ones on there are scary as hell but I has to take her for a spin. Side roads going slow of course.

    Takin a celebratory day off. Give her a good days rest and back at it tomorrow.

    With these old tires you´d better drive under 50 mph, or they could likely blow out. Now take your free day. You´ve earned it Let us know how the car is after some tuning... Next Monday Daisy will have new shoes... Probably she´s so excited she won´t sleep

    Women and their shoes, as bad as men and our watches. You deserve a rest and I have my fingers crossed that with the new shoes she is ready to go dancing!
