This is a standard white top... nothing custom. I haven't really shopped around yet, but I did get one quote for budgeting purposes. Hopefully I can find something cheaper when I am ready to do the top. I have decided that I don't want to do it myself.

That's where I got my top. No shipping tho they happen to be close by.

On a sad note my driver side ex manifold is cracked.

On a very happy note when I see Daisy tomorrow she will be wearing a fresh new coat of Coalition White!! Can't wait to see how sexy she looks.

Congrats for the good news!! Donīt worry too much about the ex. manifold. Many of these cars have some of them cracked, and from those, many make noise only the first 10 minutes, until it warms. It uses to be a headache to unscrew these bolts; in many cases they are jammed and break easily.

Will you share with us some pics when Daisy is out of the body shop?

Damn well better be putting up some pictures!

I'm not as polite as Rueben.
Great news on the paint. Cant wait to see Daisy bloom into the beautiful creature we all knew she was deep down.

    I'll get pics up.

Picked her up tonite and she looks great!! My bodywork however needs a lot of fine tuning. A lot!!!! I don't mind though. I don't know too many 43 year olds that don't have a lump or wrinkle here and there.

Here she is. Minus several hundred pieces of trim.

She looks so good, even without a lot of trim. When everything is on its place, Daisy will look gorgeus The new top increases the score Keep the good work.

I think this man is really gonna love his car when he is done. Not that he already doesn't.

    Yup we're already in love.

Went to get an alignment and they couldn't do it because the strut rod bushings were shot and one of the lock nuts was mangled.

I ordered new bushings, sway bar links, and sway bar bushings. Figured I'd get em all at once. Well the pass side strut rod is shot i think. Where the metal sleeve was the threads have worn away and that nut is mangled. I think if I even get that nut off it won't have same range for proper adjusting. We'll see if i can find one or have it machined.

Strange when even USA doesn't list one. Anybody here by chance know what years would be compatible? There's a few vineyards around that have early 70's devilles not too far away.

I had one that was slightly bent and was looking for one earlier. They pop up on on ebay, but there are none currently listed. I was able to straighten mine and didn't end up needing to buy one.

I am almost done with the front suspension replacement on my vehicle and will post an update in my thread in a few days.

Good to hear Ur making progress Kiln. I may have located one in a junkyard but no idea what it will take to get it out.

I'm gonna post another thread to get feedback on options.
