    Well, nothing great to report.
I did pick up some 80 spoke wire wheels for it with practically new Continental white walls on them.
The PO had covered some rust spots with silver paint, which I knew when I bought them. He had them listed for a couple months at $300 and I called him and he said $150 and get them out of there.
I scrubbed and pressure washed them so that I could bring them up to my apt one at a time and work on them.

I started the first one tonight, and it was one of the worst. A little Zip Strip got rid of the bad paint job. (Pressure washer got some off already.)

Then I worked the worst spots with a brass brush on the Dremel, and finished up with some polishing compound and 0000 synthetic steel wool and a brush on my drill.

So far I am pretty pleased considering how bad this one was. Still have more to do on it, and then a good coat of wax.

Has anyone ever tried to clear coat chrome wheels? Would seem to me that it would be the best if you could get it to look good.

Wow, what a good result. Congrats for your good purchase.

A friend of mine told me he once clear coated his carīs chrome bumper. At first it looked great but with time it faded and peeled off, so my advice is just polish as best as you can and wax them at least once a year.
