How do yous guys define "classic"?

I come to this section in hopes of finding info relevant to my era of Cadillac; 1955. Instead I see a query on a '98. Where do the mid-fifties guys hang out here? What is "classic," as far as this section is concerned?

    Thanks -

The '98 Deville questions were moved to the correct forum. You are in the CORRECT place for your '55.
This section is reserved for those classic Cads that are usually before 1984, although some RWD cars and Eldorados made after that year find their way here from time to time.

Really tho, you're in the right place. The '98 was misplaced. I directed him as to where he should be.

    Doug,

Thanks for the comeback on my query. It is appreciated. Thought maybe at my age I was losing it!

    LOL! Nah..
Funny tho, I've seen people with 90's rides already labeling them "antique cars."

Well, when you're all of 20, and every product being made today is obsolete within a month of production, a 15-20 year old anything is antique!

Honestly I wasn't sure if my '76 would qualify as a classic, but I couldn't find a better place for it given the categories laid out. Everything is relative I guess. Glad this is the correct place.

Wow, 76 convert. Nice ride! That's one I've always wanted. The stars just never aligned right for me.

I guess I kinda define it based on comments out on the street. I have a running joke with my kids that I can expect one "shout out" per 20 minutes of driving. That has pretty much been the case so far.

I'm new here as well, I'm picking up my 73 Eldorado Convertible this weekend. Very clean 81k original car that has been babied and garaged it's whole life. I'm happy to have found a classic home

I go by anything before the 1970 Clean Air Act.

CAFE standards of 75 did not help either.

Of course TailFins are a good gauge as well.
