mirror tap wiring harness for the blend mount radar detector mounting device

Has anyone installed a mirror tap wiring harness to the rear view mirror in their XTS? I'm installing a blend mount radar detector mounting device underneath my rear view mirror and was wondering about the wiring instructions.

When I installed my blend mount, I tapped into the cigarette lighter and mounted the escort live module on the steering wheel column.

I found it easier to get power to the mirror area by just tucking the cable into headliner, remove A post cover, route wires behind airbag, remove door rubber molding and tuck wire behind dash at the fuse box. Remove or swing forward the cubby for easy access and use a fuse tap after finding a accessory slot that shuts off. Btw no radar detector but a dash cam. One power wire non switched to keep day and time, and an accessory wire to start and stop it. It's been fun having, recorded some good crashes and got out of 2 tickets. Once pulled over for crossing yellow line and once for not stopping at stop sign. Well I did neither, the dash cam records sound so you can hear me talking to officer and using his name. I pled not guilty, got my court date and showed the judge the video. I smiled all the way out of court.

Best $40 ever spent on the little 720p cam with micro SD card
