    XTS Voice Recognition Problem

    I am having an ongoing problem with the voice recognition system not understanding me. I also have a problem with people not understanding me when I use my cell in the bluetooth mode. Is there a problem with the microphone? Is this the one located above the drivers head? Thanks in advance for any feed back.

    sounds like it's time to see your Dealer... one thing you can easily do is to try a vehicle on their lot and see if you have the same problems or not

    For what it is worth, voice recognition on my 2013 XTS works fairly well when the car is not in motion. But, once we are moving, even at low speed, windows up, fan on low, is poor to unusable. There were three of us in the car, but neither my 20-year-old son, my wife nor I were able to get it to recognize anything at all. All in all, voice recognition is pretty disappointing. It is slow in processing speech, when it recognizes at all. Trying to search navigation POIs by voice is an exercise is futility. Nice concept, poor execution. It is a shame because otherwise, this is a great car.

    You pretty much summed it up. A great idea but very poor execution. In hot Florida I have to turn the A/C off in order to be understood on my Cell phone, but it's not a problem when I use my Bluetooth ear piece. The voice recognition doesn't even come close most of the time and as you say, POI's ....forgettaboutit. On the other hand my wife's 06 jaguar has great bluetooth reception.

    I have the same issue and had the service dept. customer service person at Rippy Cadillac listen to the Noise. I asked him if it was related to having 20" wheels. He said no and agreed toncheck it out when I bring my 2013 in for it"s first oil change in the next couple of weeks.
