    Lightbulb Door Handle Light option

Any way to program the 2013 Platinum door handle lights to stay on once you start the car and drive off?
I think it would both look sharp and add an additional safety function by improving side visibility at night.

I have the premium and mine HSS the lights. Wish they would stay on whilst driving!

Great question! I am guessing you are talking about the LED strip on the four dour handles on the OUTSIDE of the car correct?? They look so cool when coming up to the car at night, it would look sweet if they would stay lit up while driving down the road! Any tech geeks out there know how to make this happen???

I am pretty sure you can only have white lights on the front of the while driving.

Lincolns used to have opera lights on the C-pillar - they were white.

When I purchased my XTS, I assumed the door handle lights would illuminate for night time driving as well, as the opera lights did on the old Cadillacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Lincolns and Chryslers a few years back.

It is a nice feature and it looks great, but it seems like a tremendous waste to only have them come on during door unlocking.

Are there any efforts to reprogram software to change this?

    Hello everyone,

I see that this would be a very popular feature! I will be sure to document your feedback and pass it along to the correct team within our organization. Thank you all very much for your feedback and please feel free to private message Laura or myself if you have any questions!

Agreed...this would be very edgy...the car is so distinctive when these are on in the parking space...why not just let it be so on the road...?

Called the Cadillac customer service and presently the handles do not stay on all the time. They rep asked if they developed if in future cars would it be popular... I said yes
