I've been looking at used STSs to replace my high-mileage DeVille and finally sat in an XTS in Pinehurst. What a sea change from my de-chromed DeVille and the staid STS interior! It's much swoopier in real life than in photos.
I was relieved that the head restraints were not way too far forward (but far enough) as on other new cars, but the seat cushion was terrible. I'm 160 lbs and 6'2", so my backside is narrow for American adult males, and the seat side bolsters pinched it uncomfortably.
Am I the only one having this problem?
Do I need a bigger butt to be comfortable in this car?
I was worried about the head restraints because the ATS's are awful for me, but the seat bottom is even worse, if they're all like that. I was thinking of just keeping my DeVille going a few years until some XTSs come off leases and into my price range, but now I don't know what to do.
BTW, the STS has the most comfortable front seats--but they force you to sit upright. I can practically do a handstand on my wide Deville seats but have to hold on tight in fast curves.

Re: Front seat comfort
IMO this is related to the airbag problem I posted yesterday. The seat design has prominent side bolsters and anterior bolster so it is not comfortable. I could not agree more.
