XTS GEAR and FINAL DRIVE RATIOS

I have done a search and found gear and final drive ratios for 2011 Cadillacs and apparently there are a couple different types of transaxles but was not successful on the XTS. Does anyone know the ratios for the 6 speed box and the final drive ratio for the XTS? Is there a specific type/identification for the unit that I could search on the Net?
    Thank you for your input.

Umm. I thought it was a 3.16 and the impala gets The 2.77. We need to get clarification on this.

Hmmmm. It is a 2.77. Looks like the gearing in the tranny should make up for it though.

I googled it and most of the dealers are quoting 3.16 and some of the GM info is 2.77.

Re: XTS GEAR and FINAL DRIVE RATIOS

Thanks. I did more "in-depth" searches also and I'm finding out that the 3.16 ratio is more common.
For some reason or another the theoretical top end speed of the XTS, even with the 3.16 axle is over 200 mph - go figure. I'm just playing with math here, so let's not get all worked up with this.
What I do know, is that mathematically in order to get to the often quoted 150+ a 4.25 axle or higher would be used. Then of course in real life, we have to deal with MANY variables (long list) to get to the real picture. It would be interesting if some road test mag. did actually do a full blown test on the XTS. I did calculate mathematically a 0-60 in 7.74 and I did read that some roadtesters did 0-60 in 6.9. Close.
I know! I did not buy my XTS to go drag racing or do 150 mph - can't get above 75 around here and not get a ticket. It's just fun to exercise the little grey cells. If I want to go real fast, I have a couple cars in the garage designed just for that - but they're NOT comfortable at all - butt slappers.
