    Acceleration times

Wondering if anyone has seen any timed acceleration runs tested anywhere? Can't seem to find any online. Obviously, the XTS is not meant to be a hot rod boy racer, but I'm curious how it compares with a DTS H.O. Or, for that matter, with a Lincoln MKS Ecoboost twin turbo.

According to the article in the above link 0-60 time is 6.8 seconds.

I put my foot in it at around 1k miles and my wife clocked 0-60 at 6.3 seconds on my trusty old Timex. I'm pretty sure someone will have a YouTube video out there soon enough. There were sure a lot of them on the STS and STS-V.

I don't think it's going to be anywhere near the MKS with ecoboost but it shouldn't be too far from the high output DTS.

    Re: Acceleration times

I think it should do a blast from 0-60 in around 6.7 seconds. I'll be shocked if anyone gets it below 6.5 seconds.

Which is kind of a shame even though most people are fine with that...

Why do you think it's a shame?

not any worse or better than a base A6, or E class really. Infact the 2.0t FWD A6 manages the sprawl in 7.5seconds.

I know the 528i's manage it in the very low 6's, but it also has a brand new powertrain.

Sorry, I was being facetious. Not every one has a sense of humor.
Actually, in testing, Cadillac claims 0-60 time of 6.8, probably under ideal conditions (best temperature, tires at optimum pressure, etc). This is adequate, but by no means quick. I suppose one could argue that I should go buy a V if I want times of 4.5 seconds. Would be nice to get somewhere in the middle though. Please bring on that twin turbo for 2014!

I wasn't referring to being as slow as a city bus :P just that it's about average for cars of it's class.

    Re: Acceleration times

If someone wants "fast", they can wait for the 2014 CTS 3.6TT. Or in the mean time, buy the ATS 3.6L.
