This morning I did a quick avoidance maneuver to avoid someone who was not looking, nor signalling and jutted out directly in front of me. In addition to the quick steering to avoid hitting him, I boosted the power [braking was not a good option since there would have been a high probability of getting rear ended]. At some brief point in the maneuver I felt a torque tug, probably as the additional power came on. That is the first time I felt it in the five days of driving. It was not significant nor distracting. Coincidentally the accident avoidance system came on both on the HUD and with the thump from the seat.
Thanks for the info! I'm just glad you and the XTS are okay after that ordeal! That's one smart car with a good driver behind the wheel

Re: Anyone Own XTS Yet ?

Thanks for all the posts everyone. I ordered a platinum in early July and it is still waiting for acceptance from GM. A buddy of mine drove one for a few weeks and stated he had problems with the entertainment system having some issues. Has anyone had any problems with the wrong or inconsistent information being displayed on the CUE or the dash? I was very impressed with my test drives and appreciate all the pics and information being posted here

So far I have not had any wrong or inconsistent information displaying on SilverFox (a Platinum XTS). I have noticed that the CUE hepatic touch seems far less sensitive (responsive) on start up when the interior is hot (I am in Las Vegas and it is hot currently).

Kip- I had a few questions that I am hoping you might be able to answer. How does the XTS compare to the other recent Cadillacs you have owned? Based on your experience from driving the car, would you again purchase the platinum vs the premium version (I like the platinum, but the premium with a sunroof is all I need)? I would like to lease an XTS in January, but am on the fence on which version. The SilverFox looks awesome!!!

Thanks! OK @bgasser, obviously everything is in the eye of the beholder. So, IMHO, this is the finest Cadillac of 7 that I have owned including Northstar, V8s, V6s etc. It has the finest interior fit and finish of them, the handling is superb and power very very good. As to Platinum vs Premium, you have to answer that. Platinum had what I wanted and I absolutely would go for it again.

Re: Anyone Own XTS Yet ?

Picked mine up yesterday. As my post in the STS forum said, my wife and me picked her CTS from from warranty service and she wanted to see the XTS. She bugged me and bugged me to take a test drive. I said nope. Bugged me again yesterday and I couldn 't say no to her as usual. Once we took it for a test drive that was it. Sold. Beautiful Luxury fwd in white diamond tricoat. Quality and workmanship from what I experienced on my 07 STS is night and day. QUE is very easy to get used to. Steering is great, seat comfort is great, backseat room, trunk space, ride, quietness and top notch materials sold me. Never knew what an IPAD was until now. I think I need smaller finger tips to use it.. It's funny because it wasn't too long ago that we wern't sure of the styling. I even made some negative comments on this forum. However it grew on us. Freinds, family and neighbors have all oooed at it. I haven't hit the gas hard yet on it so I cant' comment on off the line performance. The demo had quick enough response for my tastes. So I should be OK there. That's about it for now.

Re: Anyone Own XTS Yet ?

Congratulations @Cadjiek! I have had SilverFox for about a week an one-half now and find it a fantastic Cadillac. Today I was caught in a really torrential down pour and it handled superbly. I found the driver awareness package proved especially helpful in allowing me to totally concentrate on what was happening in front of my car. The brakes performed flawlessly with no hint of the amount of water on the road. The 20 inch Bridgestone Potenza tires had excellent grip and tracking. I did notice that the back-up camera is not shielded from the rain so it had water on it when I backed my car into the garage. As expected the car proved totally sealed. I'm not sure that I can explain the following correctly but I also found that for whatever reason far less water seemed to get around the door to body seals than I had found with my STS, and similarly true with the engine and trunk seals. I don't mean get around in the sense of getting past the seal into the interior, but rather the amount of water you would typically find when you open the door or the trunk lid, etc.

    Enjoy your car!

How about that solid thud to those doors when you close them!!. I'm sure the seal design has alot to do with that. That is probably why KIPSTS noticed the lack of water around the door and body seals. I stil hand wash mine and I will report back on my findings too. By the way, has anybody tried to clean the inside of the rear window? Whew! It's a toughie.. Maybe Swifer makes something.LOL

I am new to Cadillac, and just ordered my first one last week. It is an XTS with the premium package. My wife and I have been loyal Lexus owners for the last 20 years.
After one test drive, we were sold on the XTS. We feel we were getting more car for the dollar, and the XTS felt like a solid well built ride.
