CTS V is all of the above. Just flat out one of the best cars in the world. Good point and I think price is going higher on next gen Slade.

As for SRX, it's a Saab 9-4x. The 9-4x and SRX share an architecture and were designed and engineered under the direction of a guy from Saab, back when Saab was still a part of GM.

The 9-4x didn't hit dealerships until the 2011 model ... the SRX came out as a 2010 ... a full year ahead

the way I heard it GM had the Saab team(s) help design the SRX ... then they worked on the 9-4x after the SRX was complete
and that was a true re-skin and rebadge (inside and out)

I think the reason for the cooperation with the Saab team(s) was that GM liked what Saab did with the Trailblazer when they turned it into the 9-7x
(that's where the TBSS comes from - all the suspension and chassis changes made were from the Saab engineers 9-7x mods to the regular TB)

I believe they sold three of them, possibly four. The other 396 are still collecting dust at Motorwerks. :P

That's because Saab was in the middle of shitting down. It was supposed to hit the market at the same time as the SRX. When Spyker bought Saab and the rights to 9-3 and 9-4 production, they finally went ahead with it along with the new 9-5.
