Late Spring is the last I've heard; a little nebulous (but I think Cadillac needed/wanted a little wiggle room for launch). I would think that pretty much everything that would be in a brochure is already available on line.

We're all waiting to sit in one so hopefully the XTS will be in dealerships very soon...

I wouldn't expect on on your dealers lot until early June. If you get lucky you'll see them in May.

The start of retail production for the 2013 XTS will begin in March 2012. If I get anymore updated information I will keep you all notified. I am excited to see this new vehicle, too. Looks pretty sweet!

No V8 is killing Cadillac for me. Not everyone can pratically buy a V to drive everyday. I wish the Ultra Northstar would of saw production in the XTS.

Welcome to post 2010. The V6 is the new V8 (sometimes the Turbo 4 is the V8), the old V6 is now the regular I4. Old slow cars (less than 120 HP) are almost gone, the new V8's are effectively exotic and replace V10's 12's and 16's in cars. I mean what car made 500 HP 20 years ago? Not even V12's.

Right but the problem is the XTS, which replaces the DTS, which replaced the DeVille, isn't going to be noticeably faster than the 1994 DeVille Concours. While everybody else is adding power, Cadillac has remained basically the same. You and I know why but the mainstream customer doesn't...

The TT V6 is a great recipe for success, in my opinion. It's just not ready yet - and hardly anyone even knows it's coming...

Re: Schedule for 2013 XTS Availiability

It's just as well if the TT isn't available from the start. I would never want the first year of a model anyway...but I would give the 2nd or 3rd year a chance if it had the TT...

Horsepower increases on a car like this at this point is purely for bragging right. I came up on cars in the 80's - EVERYTHING is fast today.

My 09 DTS Performance has... well I don't know how much horsepower it has. But when I do get on it (rare occasion) it has much more power than I 'need'.

If you want sports car performance, drive a sports car. One of my other cars is a Murcielago.

But all this talk about V6 or V8 and increasing the power from a Deville Concours (I had 94 and loved it) is nothing more than blather.

All of these cars have more than enough power.

Good to see you around here, Cardio Doc. For the most part, you're right. A full-size Cadillac has had enough power since that 1994 Concours. Even before that. On the other hand, bragging rights and blather sells a lot of cars in the premium segment. You either compete or you don't. Cadillac doesn't compete with cars in the segment - but maybe they don't care or feel they need to.
