    Cadillac XTS4 Pictures

Does the XTS look a little, I don't know, not so great in this picture? Or is it just me?

    I'm still liking the back...

It looks pretty good from this angle...

I think it looks great. JMO, of course. I'm thinking silver (myself).

I like it. But...... where is the trunk lid? The rear glass ends just before the end of the car. How big can the trunk be?

it looks a little tall, but otherwise it looks good. The lighting and angles just suck. It's very sedate in it's appearances, which is fine for it's possition. The Lexus LS isn't exactly eye-poping either.

What happened to the nice dual exhaust ports?

The DTS had really nice twin dual exhaust ports.

I've come to expect Lexus vehicles to be boring...

I think the XTS exhaust design is a good interpretation of what's "now". I like the DTS as well, however.

The DTS wasen't exactly designed to be a tire burner either, cars in this class are traditional luxury, in a driving sense they're very boring. A LS is probally the best and worst large luxury sedan I've driven. It gets the details perfect while remaining detached from the road and without even a hint of feeling what so ever. The LS is a car you could fall asleep driving 100mph in LA traffic.

    Re: Cadillac XTS4 Pictures

The dead on rear shot of the XTS is terrible...the "fin" lenses are way too small. The last pic of the 3/4 shot at a distance is also horrible. I'm almost seeing bustleback Seville in the tail... I do like the front end of that shot, however the thing is WAY tall... I do like the 4th and 5th pics -- the front really does look good to me. The 3rd pic of rear angle isn't quite so bad. I'm still liking the car WAY better in the front than in the back, or when the roof is involved.

I'm biased, of course, but compared to DTS -- well, there is no comparison. DTS is a modern looking traditional Cadillac. The XTS could be a Hyundai, Lexus, or Audi that is badged as a Cadillac, w/a little bit of A&S thrown in.

I was hoping we'd see a more retro exhaust port design like on the Cadillac Sixteen show car.

Looks like a cross between DTS & STS. Mostly boring. To bad, I am a 25 year V8 STS driver. No V8 or sporty look, to elegant

The only thing I can say I don't like about it is how the trunk looks way too short for the car. The back end also looks like it is a bit too high up. I still prefer the DTS design, much more.

    omfg.

This is really really really ugly.
I kind of hoped the real thing would look a bit better than the concept.
But it turned out to be much worse.

It looks like a midsize prius, especially from the back, it really does.

It is a sedan, but without a trunk, so it looks like a hatchback.
Who came up with that idea?

If this is the road for future Cadillacs, toyota lookalikes with a Cadillac grill, then I'm out.

azera.jpg Which came first, the new XTS or the new Hyundai Azera? Similar size, features, power, etc. Who's copying whom? The new XTS is not likely to show up in my garage at the price Cadillac is probably going to charge. Hope my DTS hangs in there for a long time. Ken.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting.. the camry and accord are very similar too..but manufactures with established markets typically try to emulate their competition a little in order to draw from said competitors pool of customers and convert them. It's why the latest civic has been softened up into more of a corolla (and thus has received relatively bad reviews.)

    Re: Cadillac XTS4 Pictures

There was a folk song in the '60's that talked about Little houses on the hillside, little houses made of ticky-tacky...and they all look just the same. Well, automotively speaking we've entered the design era of cars made of ticky-tacky and all looking pretty much the same..... Bummer....
