April 2010 ?? that's over 18 months ago... a bit of old info ... still could be correct, but I'm sure C&D has written a lot more since then about the XTS

XTS isn't the flagship. Omega is (Alpha & Omega get it?). The Ciel foreshadows what an Omega could look like. I wouldn't expect one for 3-4 years though (as a 2016 at the earliest).

for the time being the escalade will fill in as the flagship (it kind of has been since 2002 anyway)

Regardless of what Cadillac produces, the ZR-1, as long as it is in production, will be GM's Halo car.

there's a thread in the lounge. I don't buy it though. They aren't going to mock up the ZR-1 before the base corvette.

They design all the cars before they release them. Jalopnik says they have the base coupe drawings as well.

Someone is getting fired over those drawings so that should let you know how authentic they are.

I also could tell you if they are indeed real but I like my job.

It looks to me like the XTS is a mid-size car, just like the STS.

Re: Introducing the 2013 Cadillac XTS

The more I see the production model, the less I like it. Side shot is very much Toyota Avalon. Back end lacks distinction. The only really good part is the front and and even at that, the straight on shot makes the car look tall and narrow. Not exactly what I think of when I think Cadillac. But maybe she just doesn't photo well....

Re: Introducing the 2013 Cadillac XTS

While everyone is certainly free to express their likes and dislikes, I feel that the new Caddy (XTS) has balance, presence and very nice proportions; with top notch interior, advanced electronics and adequate propulsion, the only possible limiting factor may be price. We'll have to see; with all the 'toys', it may be a delimiter to some buyers (and I may be one of those; retired, fixed income and aging trade in vehicle). In any case, I hope it's a hit but we'll just have to wait and see. For those that don't like it; well there are certainly many alternatives (for your hard earned dollars).
