Looking great, so far. . . I have confidence Cadillac will produce a stylish vehicle and the CUE video makes me think the XTS's will be selling like "hot cakes" once they are available!

No $55 thousand dollar plus car, is going to sell like "hotcakes".

You're right but I don't think Loveldos really thinks the XTS is going to sell, literally, like pancakes.

Obviously, gentlemen, the XTS cannot sell like hot cakes. I do not know of any Cadillac dealership with operating hours similar to those of my local Denny's.

    Mmmm... pancakes....

It will sell well. If only for the reason there are Cadillac buyers who find the CTS attractive but too small for them. Plus Fleet buyers, ie: Livery and rentals.

This looks a bit nicer than the concept they've been parading around.

The Cadillac you're looking for will be available in a few years. This is not it.

That is what Caddy should be getting away from. This car is a step in the wrong direction IMO. They should have tried restyling the STS with its RWD bones. This is a competitor for Volvo & Lincoln, not BMW, Audi & Mercedes.

I understand how you feel because at the surface it seems Cadillac should be getting out of the "livery/fleet/rental" business as competitors like Mercedes are - but in their own country - Mercedes is the same thing. In the beginning of all this - somebody made the mistake of saying the XTS will be a replacement for the STS AND DTS. That's not accurate. The XTS is a replacement for the DTS and "previous generation" Seville STS (front wheel drive). This car WILL be an excellent replacement for those vehicles - which still have a very large following. The XTS will also serve perfect duty for those in the north who prefer front wheel drive. You cannot just abandon all these customers.

The premium luxury sedan that'll be Cadillac's flagship - which should arrive in a few years - is the car that most people who like the typical S550, 750Li and Audi A8L are looking for.

I'm hoping that IS what this car is going to be. I want something that will replace my SLS. But the current STS and DTS don't do much for me. As I have said before on here....If I could have the styling of the STS and the size of the DTS, the car would suit me better than anything Cadillac offers now.
