Except for the x-ray vision shots, I didn't see any pictures of the heart stopping V6 engine they're going to stick into the thing...

Looks really nice. The rear lamps could have been bladed out more like the SRX fins. That would have been cool.
Aside from all the "brass" the fanfare seems to be much ado about nothing. The XTS looks to be standard middlew market fare to me. Certainly nothing that would make me part with $50,000. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on my local Jag dealer's used car lot for a low mileage last generation XJ8!
I've mentioned before that I like the car - especially the way it lights up at night. I love the wheels - I hope they stay for the production car.. The interior is awesome... On the outside, the rear is my favorite part. I'm not crazy about the grille (face) and I'm really disappointed in the sides.. I think it's really unidentifiable and bland on the sides.. I hope something changes there before the production version comes to market.
The front grille on this spy shot is different from the concepts. It's only 2 sections high, instead of 3. The outer sections are also different from the inner ones.
I believe the white part of the door panels are fake--they don't have the flaring towards the wheelwells that the concept has. Pretty good camouflage.
I'm sure there will be some minor tweaks before we see the final production version...
The XTS is supported by Cadillac brass and is bigger than the current DTS. Prove me wrong.
I forget who called it a "stop gap" car but somebody at GM did. After hearing/reading that, a lot of people felt Cadillac wasn't too crazy about the car - and it hasn't even hit showroom floors yet. It's not the flagship people have been waiting for.
Why would it be bigger than the DTS? How much can they stretch a LaCrosse platform? It's not going to be bigger than the DTS - but I cannot prove you wrong. I am very comfortable with people assuming that the XTS will be larger than the DTS if that's what makes them happy.
