It's not even out and you've already got it retired? You may be completely correct but maybe it'll be a 'hit'; I'm at least going to wait and see what makes it into production. I'm pretty sure it will be deviated from the 'concept' presented and could (in the CAFE world of the future) just be what a lot of people will want. Of course, there I go, and am speculating myself.

so the flagship is not the XTS, and all we know is that it will be on the Omega platform, right?

and where is this other area you speak of?

Re: The current management at Cadillac does not like the XTS

Correct. When the XTS comes out, the flagship will still be the Escalade. The XTS is a stop-gap car that'll basically replace the DTS. STS owners will be less interested. The Omega platform will be carrying the flagship - if it happens...

The other area is in the main rumors and concepts section - not a model specific concept. Here:

    Yes, you guessed right.

I wonder what they're going to do for commercial coach builders and professional vehicles?

Re: The current management at Cadillac does not like the XTS

The new flagship should be named DTS. And you know, if the XTS were to sell well, they'd milk it for all it was worth -- flagship or no.

    in here... specifically here

there's other places too, but those are probably the 'best' places for that discussion

Re: The current management at Cadillac does not like the XTS

Dan Akerson hates the XTS. This is common industry knowledge, I think he would have killed it if the program wasn't so far along in development. He wants a Cadillac "he can buy" and the XTS I don't think is it. Hopefully GM has the resources to put the "Super" Luxury Sedan back on. But it would probably need it's own platform and engines as GM has no large luxury RWD platform (Zeta won't cut it, and Sigma is dead) and no DOHC V8's.
