We just got our 4th.
I have worked on 2 of the 3 that we have sold since January, mostly minor stuff.
There are some out there.
Due to the limited stock production I doubt you'll see lots of them driving the other way.
After driving all of the V's, I must say I'm a little disappointed in the XLR-V. A little more power would have been nice. A Mercedes E55 AMG walked away from me @ 135 MPH......... The STS-V will take this car anyday, and probably with 4 people in it. Not really worth the extra 30g IMO.

Let's see:
Mercedes Benz web site(unbiased?) lists E55 AMG at 4.5 seconds 0-60
Car and Driver July 2006 test results show STS-V at 4.6 seconds 0-60
Road & Track June 2006 test results show XLR-V at 4.3 seconds 0-60
Car and Driver August 2006 test results show XLR-V at 4.6 seconds 0-60
A better comparison is probably the Car and Driver (obvious foreign car bias) August 2006 test of the XLR-V, BMW 650i, Jaguar XK, Mercedes SL550 and Porsche 911 Carrera. The XLR-V blew away the others in every acceleration test (amazingly still came in last overall).
Expensive? Yes. Worth it? I think that's personal preference. And personally, I love it!
