Purchased new 2008 XLR-V

Yesterday I drove home a brand new 2008 XLR-V (Red-Tintcoat). This is the 14th Cadillac I've purchased over the last 30 years. It replaces my 2007 Corvette 3LT Z51. The XLR-V is both breath-taking and luxurious. I'd love some input on good sources of items to "personalize" the car. I'm also interested in any technical advice about the car.

I'd be glad to share my Cadillac experience with everyone. We currently own a 2009 Escalade and a 2007 DTS. Looking forward to the discussions.

Congrats on the new toy!!! So, how does it compare to the Corvette. Was it that much better or just time for a change?

Congrats, I bought a 2009 Crystal Red XLR-V back in January. You are gonna love it for sure. I'm also a Corvette guy. I just sold my 2007 coupe to make room in my garage for the 2010 Callaway Grand Sport I just ordered. When it arrives I'll have 2 super charged Crystal Red GM cars. The new Callaway Vette will have 606HP.

As far as mods for the XLR-V there are not many. The aftermarket is pretty slim for cars like the XLR-V that are so exclusive. Just not enough of them around. The only mod I've done on the XLR-V is a remote switch to open the butterfly valves on the exhaust for a little more growl. Enjoy the car!

Congrats on the new car! Give us a call or send us an email when you are ready to put some of those personal touches on your car. We have a bunch of products for the XLR-V despite the dismal aftermarket support from the rest of the industry.

You can feel the effect of the stabilizers. Much smoother ride with no loss in performance. Much quieter ride but the "V" is heavier. The supercharger is the difference. Great acceleration. All the performance of the C6 and all the comfort of a Cadillac. This is my dream car after having 3 Corvettes: C4,C5,&C6.

Automatic and it seems to have the same twitchy shift points my 2007 C6 had. It will be back to the shop for some adjustments. The torque-converter is itchy at 40MPH in slow traffic. I'll checkout the web site. Thanks.
