| Re: New 2009 XLR-V seen today I don't think the CTS-V coupe would "replace" the XLR-V, since one is a roadster and the other a coupe- it would be like saying Mercedes should drop the SL550 AMG because they already have the CL65 AMG. That being said, I think Cadillac needs to find a way to make the XLR more popular, as sales have never really taken off like they hoped. Just like the SRX, the XLR was never really marketed properly. The 2008 CTS had a proper ad budget and campaign, and look how well that's doing.
I'd like to see a refreshed XLR with some added muscle, lots of "whiz/bang" features and a proper marketing push. I hope they try it before giving up on the car altogether, because I really like them. |
