Re: Fitting in an XLRV

I am 6' pushing 200 (losing a little bit lately).
It can be tricky to get comfy, but the seats in the V are a bit more comfortable than the base car.
I usually move the seat all the way back, then tilt the front of the seat up and the back down.
From there you can move the front up and the seat forward to ease up the comfort on your back, depending on how you like to sit.
My legs are the most important part to my comfort, if they are cramped up I can't stand it. It is a bit tight for us taller guys, moving the seat back far enough for comfort puts the seat back against the back wall of the cabin so it can be a trick.
The seats offer pretty good adjustment. Being 4 inches above me you might have some issues. If you always drive it with the top down it should be much easier

Re: Fitting in an XLRV

I am not a big guy but can comment on this subject as I was just talking about it last night with a fellow CTS-V owner. We own an XLR (non V) and I have owned Vettes in the past also. The XLR is tight in a sporting kind of way. It is not a lux fit. The high doors and deep transmission tunnel make for a tight fit even for those of us that are not large in stature. I was just saying last night that I feel much more comfortable in my CTS-V and enjoy driving the car much more than our XLR because of it. My wife wanted the XLR while she was still young enough to have a "look at me" car but I must say the V sedans make for better daily drivers. I guess I am just getting old (43) because I never felt cramped by any of the Vette's I owned when I was in my late 20's and early 30's.

Re: Fitting in an XLRV

looks like I will have to buy an STS-V when I am older because comfort is key when it comes to this frame...

Re: Fitting in an XLRV

Hello,
One of our customers is about 6-5 240ish with an XLR. He seems to fit okay. He did ask about possibly lowering his seat a bit more. Also have another customer around the same height and said he was okay also in his XLRV. I guess it depends on what you would consider comfortable. Like what commander112 said, it has a sporty fit...Hope that helps.
Thanks,

Dr. Design
