XLR-V caught testing

I found this on gminsidenews.com. Its a spy shot of an XLR-V mule testing at the Nurburgring. Notice the Corvette-like raised hood (supercharger maybe?) and the much lower stance. I don't really have any other details, everything else on the site was speculation.

Re: XLR-V caught testing

Nice. I hope they keep the traditional Cadillac center crease instead of the power bulge though (I wonder what a crease on the bulge would look like).

I wonder if the power retractable hardtop will make the cut when it moves to V form? It definately adds a lot of unneeded weight when they are trying to make a purer performance car (remember, the Z06 is only offered in coupe form, will GM make a similar move here? I've been thinking about that for a while now...).

Hope it releases soon. We need something to do battle with MB's AMG droptops...

I bet it will stay, Mercedes keeps the retractable hard top on the SL AMGs. Although an XLR in straight coupe form might be kinda cool.
