Anyway to get the tach info on the HUD?

I recently took my XLR-V for a few runs on the infamous "Tail of the Dragon" out of Deals Gap in NC (318 curves in 11miles). The car performed great but trying to watch the the road and paying attention to the tach was out of the question for me. Most of the run was done in second and third gear with a few straights allowing for higher gears. Several times I ran into the the rev limiter!!! The engine gave no indication of being out of its torque range.
The vet allows for revs to be displayed on the HUD, and I understand the wiring harnesses are more or less the same. Is there a way to get the XLR to display the tach info on the HUD?
Any thoughts on this??

This might be a dumb question, but I have to start someplace. Is this an Auto ? If I put my STS Auto in Manual shift mode, a tac pops up on my HUD. Just started looking around this forum as I might start looking at XLR's

That question was asked at the XLR Rendevous in Bowling Green this summer. The Caddilac tech expert said the HUD's are not compatable. There was enough input that it sounds like it may be on the '09's with the g meter as well. Love the HUD in the Vette.

the XLR-V only comes in automatic

So my cheese wagon STS has it but the XLR-V does not ? What a rip ..
