just got a 2004 about a month ago and notice a distortion on the side windows, especially when wet. Service department said it is from factory tint and all XLRs have the same thing. This does not seem right, anyone else have this issue? This is my first post and I hope I am not beating a dead horse. I really enjoy this car more than I have had in the past.

Re: Side Windows
When I have my polarized glasses on I can see a bit of the distortion from the tint but not as much as I see on Toyota's and Chryslers, similar to what Boombotz is describing. Without the glasses I'm not seeing any distortion, even when wet.
the pattern looks like when you are driving and turn on the windshield washer and it flows unto your side windows (a flame like shape). It looks normal from a distance but shows up when you are near or it get wet.
Jetboy, no after market tint, it almost looks like it is two pieces of glass with these layer in between. I have it at the service department now for something else. When they call me to pick it up, i'm going to get the service manager (new) and have him do a show and tell. MY corvette had a similair problem with the windshield and Chevy replaced it
