2004 XLR Average $39200 16000 miles, hi $45200 8000 miles low $33200 25,000 miles based on sales of 17 units all US Manheim auctions last 6 weeks. Low prices reflect repaired or repainted cars usually. Use Average to Hi price for a good car and you will need to go to the hot climates to find most. Auction fees and dealer costs etc. are extra.

Is the engine in the STS, SRX differant from the XLR (other than the obvious changes in position and transmission placement etc)? Any of you have info on what changes are planned on future northstars, my dad is looking at all of them and is curious, wants to get something 'big' [price wise] possibly for his retirement.

Re: Any big problems with the XLR

All the longitudinally mounted VVT northstars are pretty much the same. The only real difference might be in tuning and hookups based on what car they are in but the hardware is probably identical.
I haven't heard any scuttlebut on upcoming changes.
GM usually gives us a "new engines and updates" course to watch every year for changes, but I haven't seen one slated for this year yet.

Best advice I can give is go to a dealer that has sold and serviced a few.

AMG, are you still in this predicament?
There is a procedure for manually closing the top if you are stuck.
I can tell you how to do it but it can be tricky.

Thanks! It seems to work fine now! I think it fixed itself after I reset the cargo divider. I took it out completely out and put it back in. I also hand the valet key in the rear bumper too so maybe that did something.

    Okey dokey.
That is good because it is hard to explain the manual procedure
