XLR RUNNING HOT??? 220 Pluss only 85 out today

Anybody have a hot running Xlr Mine is silver and with the ac on top down running at 25 mph stop and go the dam thing gets over 220 close to 240 WAY TO HOT you can feel the power being decreased from all that heat, (not limp home mode no coolent) you just know its slugish. Looking under the hood they only have 1 electric fan. My old 2000 vett had 2 they would run 1/2 speed then full to keep it cool.

    Any Ideas?

    Danny

Mine also goes through wide variations in temp. as it moves from stop/go traffic to open road running. I firmly believe they gave up quite a bit of free air space by mounting the two plastic shields in the front air dam to cover the ACC. The middle section that is perforated does not flow enough air to sufficiently and reliably cool the engine compartment and its components. Just be glad the thing runs synthetic oil.

I also believe that is why they deleted the ACC from the XLR-V, since the S/Ced motor will generate even higher temps, along with the oil cooler, transmission cooler and brake vents it is supposed to have.
