Foose does over XLR... AND SRX.

Did anyone watch this on TLC tonight? Im watching the replay right now.

Both cars came from Lund Cadillac in Phoenix and I noticed Jay Alvarez from Lund Performance was featured as well

This might be a repost but this is the first time Ive seen it. Pretty crazy, the XLR has some unique challenges, like composite leafsprings and such.

Yeah, that's an old story. He did those last year. IMO, neither one is very good looking.

Agreed... the end result was quite disappointing. The XLR ended up looking like a frieken cop car and the SRX... well... it was just completely uninspiring.

If there WAS one GOOD thing about the show, it was those new LED Wheels coming out that you can put messages on.

Yeah but I'd bet that local authorities will quickly outlaw those. Hell, they outlawed neon license plate frames and under-car lights fast enough. :rolleyes2

I do like that he died the interior of the XLR. The wheels on the SRX don't do it for me.

i believe he ended up keeping those two cars cause i was reading "Rides" magazine, i think, and he had them. they were ok but nothing (if i had the money) i would pay extra for.

Only goes to prove how over-rated Foose is, as well as spotlighting his lack of creativity.

Well, I think its easy for us to criticize people like that when all the big-wigs at every damn turn who know nothing about our passion, continually turn to someone like him because hes the first name that rolls of the tip of their tongue. However, on the same token, he was around before all of the reality shows started to come around, and made his name by putting out his many creations. I certainly wouldnt go as far as to say the man isnt creative, he works hard on his designs and I can see the frustration in his face when something doesnt work out right. I know I certainly dont have the skill or talent he does.

I love the T-bird concept he made, he probably was limited on the XLR and SRX in what he could do by money or time.

Thumbs down Re: Foose does over XLR... AND SRX.

The guy is talented and creative, and he's done some terrific stuff, but he blew it on these two. They look as if he spent all of five minutes on them.

At his level of the game you don't have the luxury of having projects not turn out right. In my opinion he has joined the many who pimp themselves out for increased exposure when in reality they can barely keep up with the work they have now.

I think the rear bumper extension on the XLR looks pretty good, maybe with the exception of the fitting exhaust tips. I think the XLR-V could have done better than just keeping the stock front and rear bumpers.

Or maybe the current models are too new or cutting edge to be customized. Can one truly custom something that is leading edge?

I've seen the fender skirt and rocker panel set from vogue tyre and that kit loks very classy and accents the lines of the srx. It takes the design one step further.
