Cadillac XLR Forum Discussion, Anyone tried this for bluetooth? in Past Cadillac Vehicle Discussion; http://www.neocaraudio.com/products/BLUGM11
Says it takes the place of onstar and supports bluetooth calling and a2dp. Sounds perfect......

The CoStar unit does not support A2DP streaming. I am the one who kept having it hang on and drain the battery. 3 times. It was not reliable in other ways as well. I contacted Galaxy1000 and they say their unit will not work on XLRs. I'm currently going after using a Parrot unit.
The only negative I have heard about the Bluestar unit is it will drain the battery if something hangs up and it does not disconnect. Has anyone tried hooking up the unit to an ignition switched power source so that will disconnect when the car is turned off?
