    Smile The XLR Pucker Factor

For those interested or new XLR owners:

Horror stories abound of XLRs that have been placed on lifts or damaged at home by incorrectly raising the vehicle without protective pucks. Like our cousins who drive corvettes, the XLR accepts frame pucks inserted in the slots on the rails to prevent damage to the rocker panels. If you look underneath the car at the frame rail(s), you'll see the slots I'm referring to. I bought a pair of polyeurethane pucks and though I don't use them often --like a pistol, it's nice to have them when the need arises. For more info, check out this link:

Which are best the lift pads or the pucks? Do you install them permanently or do you take them on and off each time. Thanks, bob

I dodn't have an XLR.....YET................. but as a long time Corvette owner know all about the lifting pucks. They only get used when you want to lift the car. I have some nice aluminum ones but before I got them I made my own out of hockey pucks. Since the frames of the Corvette and XLR are the same the lifting pucks are interchangeable. If you go to www.corvetteforum.com and do a search you should be able to find directions on how to make your own.

I am looking on the Corvette site but can't seem to find it. Do you have any better information on how to build you own?

JUST DIAL 1-800-327-4868, WHICH IS ECKLER'S CORVETTE PARTS. GIVE THEM THE DATE CORVETTE YOU ARE INTERESTED. THE LATEST CATALOG IS 2005-2010.
THIS CATALOG WILL MAKE YOU SICK TO SEE WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR CORVETTE, BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS FOR A XLR.
THE PUCKS ARE CHEAPER TO BUY THAN TRY TO MAKE.
