    XLR Gas Mileage

I have an 04 XLR and it seem to be hard on gas. I am getting 12-13 around town is this normal?

I consistently get 16 in town and 24-28 on the highway. Depending on how and where you drive, tire pressure, gas and engine condition, yours will vary.

I drive mine pretty easy around town and only get 14 mpg. With that small gas tank, it seems like you are filling it all of the time. I did get 22 mpg on a long run.

I have an 05 and mine does pretty good. I get between 16 and 17 consistently around town, and 26 coming from Florida on a 2000 mile trip.but even at that the tanks too small.

    Re: XLR Gas Mileage

I never drive interstates or highways with my car and switzerland have a lot of mountains (i even live at a small on 2000 feet only) and i have a MPG of 19.5 average last 2000 miles and try to climb every pass i can find.

the MPG is better if you manually switch the gears. then you engine runs at lower RPM with a better MPG. (or just let the gear selector in the 4'th gear exept you like to race or on speeds over 60 MPH)
