    Newbie here

Hi everyone,I just came upon this forum and it looks like it contains a load of good information.I'm afraid since this is my first XLR (also first Cadillac) I won't be much help to anyone .I don't want to give out bum information just for the sake of giving someone an answer.
My question for today is : on the inside of the windshield,on the very top and on the right side of the mirror is a black box about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide.I suspect this is the XM radio receiver.Oh,and the car is a 2005. I appreciate any replys.

That box on the window is the cellular and GPS antenna for OnStar. The DRR (XM receiver) is in the back of the console, right behind where the LEDs for the back-up sensor are.

I think you are referring to the rain sensors which turns your wipers on when it rains. One of the few things that worked right on my 2005 XLR

The rain sensor is a little bit smaller and mounted further down.
