    what year did they change the headlights and what is the motor thats in it?
    Is it auto leveling or auto aiming?

    On the XLRs the headlights were changed in 2006 to the adaptive headlights which move with the steering wheel.

    OK thanks thats what it looked like to me.
    Quite a complicated headlight compared to the 05.
    05 on the right minus lens and bulb
    06 on the left with turning motor,lens and bulb

    Reminds me of the headlight reflectors on the 49 Cadillac, where you could remove bulb and use reflector in house or garage with a regular drop cord. You just put bulb into reflector, then screwed bulb into drop cord. Great inside lighting.

    Not!! It is amazing how technical we have gotten in 66 years.

    I say that the 06+ is going to be a nightmare to repair.
