Do you switch your tires and rims for winter? If yes what do you do to reset the TPM sensors? Anyone else on the forum has only had the dealer do it.

H i march,
the wheels are painted but I would say it`s an metallic paint, I love em

Well, I had some trouble with the TPM`s when I have put this wheels on because the bord-computer didn`t match the 06 TPM`s (mine is an 04 model)
My dealer here in Germany got those TPM`s for me and installed them - since then anything works great. I have the same tire-size as the XLR V but my tires are no run-flats. (couldn`t get them here) Pirelli Zero Rosso 235`s on front, 255`s on back.
With those not RF tires the ride and especially the handling got even better then stock.
Any more help, let me know

Hans

Re: XLR Grilles convert to V style

For anyone following this thread I finally got to look at a V up close and can tell you that the GM factory grille from an XLR-V will not fit a regular XLR. The problem I can see is that the XLR-V has a different hood and the leading edge of the hood is designed differently to fit the chrome trim. There are recesses at the sides and edges as well as holes at the front of the hood to fit the chrome trim. The XLR-V trim will not fit the regular hood. The area behind the grille is also open may affect the installation and or performance by allowing water and air into that area that was designed to be closed on the regular XLR. I changed my order and I am now getting the E&G grille that other Forum members have installed and are happy with.

Re: XLR Grilles convert to V style

You are correct March. While picking up my XLR Wednesday I noticed a new XLR with a converted aftermaket grille and I ask about it. What you said in your last post is what was said to me. The hoods are different. So the grille is also. This is what was done to my X.
