Just bought a 2005 steel blue XLR on EBAY 8200 miles $56,000.00. The car is in Tenn. but it was originally owned by GM for one of their Execs and was autioned to a dealer in Tenn. Let me know your thoughts and any tips on getting it shipped to Seattle

Hi im20agn, what I would do?
Fly into Nashville, tell the dealer to pick you up at the airport and drive your steel blue "stealth fighter" home by yourself.

DAS is one of the better vehicle shippers out there, since they own their entire fleet and dont subcontract any shipments. However, auto shipping is a shady business.

Do as I did when I bought my old Q45 -- fly in and drive that baby home! You can take the southern route on I-70 through Denver or you can go north to I-90 and enjoy the twisties in north Idaho.

Congrats, mine is Blue Steel as well. I agree with the fly and drive recommendation but if you must ship DAS is good.

I agree with the fly in and drive out idea. That's how I got mine. I didn't have to drive very far though (from houston to dallas and the dealer picked me up in a S600) The drive back was fun. Enjoy the constant headturning from other drivers(they really should be looking at the road) and curious questions about the car at gas stations. Anyways, I had fun and hope u'll too.

How much do you pay, you pay for airline ticket, hotel stays and food, gas and any of my speeding tickets. That might be a fun road trip, i might consider????
