90-92s were the last of the classic styling, 93-96 were the "whale bodies" and styling is always subjective. The LT1 in 94-96s is a much better engine than the older 350s and put the 305 to shame. I like both the old and newer styling so I'd let the LT1 make the decision and go with a 94-96 if I were in the market. However if I were looking to swap a 500 in that would again even things out, I'd probably let price make the decision then and go with an older model.

Re: 90-92 Brougham or 93-96 Fleetwood

Well judging by the aesthetics of the two cars, i would go with the '90-92 because they are the last "true cadillacs". From what i understand, they're like riding on a cloud, (wallowy), have finger easy steering (no road feel what so ever) and are easy smooth cars (not all that fast for a V8) but i love the exterior design and i like the interior design more than the '93 thru '96 models the advantages i see in the '93-'96 generation are the LT1, and the heated leather seats, and other modern advantages ( traction control, 4L60-E Transmission, and it's got great looking alloy rims)

So my conclusion: LT1 or LS1, LS6 350 in a 1991 Brougham D'elegance, install some heating wires in the seats, and maybe a tranny that could handle the power. Preferably black exterior, black roof, and tan leather.
