Jaguar's paltry X-Type to trudge along through 2009

Unbelievable, the plastic excuse for a Jaguar is going to enjoy a nice long stay. Afterwhich Jaguar may go upmarket.

I have always liked the X-Type. The panache of the Jaguar name, in
a more affordable car, with very nice interior and a compact exterior with
4 wheel drive for these East Coast winters. You see alot of them on the roads and I can't recall any big recalls on them. The few people I've asked who own one all seem to really like it. It's actually too small for me on the interior, but that is because I am too fat! If I lost 80 pounds it would be fine. I like the car in white. I think in white it looks terrific.
    How can you fault this?

I fault Jaguar for 1) Overpricing the car 2) Overpricing options 3) And as a result making it completely uncompetitive.

Pricewise, how does it compare against Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3 Series, Volvo S-80 and Saab Aero ? I'd think that would be where it should fit in, yes or no ?

This Jag's biggest fault (with me), is it's poor rear passenger head room. I'm only 5'11" and I had to tilt my head forward to sit in it.

The rear leg room was not any better.

Other than that, I like this compact car posing as a luxury car.
