Re: Jaguar S Type??

I think the Jaguar is too small...my opinion.
The navigator looks good as well, but I dont like lexani wheels at all. I liek the Gianelle flush on the navigator. I might get a black one with those. Also how is the ride on the navigator with the new wheels, any different then the escalade with 24's? Thanks

Re: Jaguar S Type??

Kinda hard to say if it's better or worse then the escalade with 24's. Remember i have air ride on the escalade thats why i cant tell. The escalade rides like CRAP because of the air ride. But the NAVI rides NICE

Re: Jaguar S Type??

I hope this post doesn't appear twice. I messed up the first try.

Last fall I bought a '05 CTS-V. This spring I bought my wife a '05 Jaguar S-type R for her birthday. She wanted an auto trans. so we looked at the BMW 5 series and Mercedes E class as well but there are so many of them around here already.

The Caddy and Jag are both great cars and fun to drive, but have entirely different personallities. The Caddy is more of a muscle car, the Jag is more of a luxury car. Both turn heads but I think the Jag gets more looks and comments. I'm afraid I'm going to get a ticket every time I drive the Caddy because it makes you want to push it. The Jaguar feels more laid back, but it fools you because it accelerates and shifts so smoothly. At the end of a highway onramp I've been surprised to look at the speedo and find I'm doing 90 MPH when it felt like I was doing 65. And the supercharger whine is wonderful.

I guess that if you're in the market for a car in this class you need to decide what's more important to you- iron fist or velvet glove. Both cars have both but the Caddy is more iron fist, the Jag is more velvet glove.

Re: Jaguar S Type??

The early S-type has a somewhat cheap interior. Later versions are exceptionally refined and nicely appointed, surrounding you in Eduardian elegance. They also do a better job of integrating technology than MB or BMW.

a titanium lined velvet glove. The Jaguar is a beautiful fast luxury car, the V is baals out fast sporting car. If i were you i would take the Jaguar. The R is also a rare car, i dont know how rare the V is though so i cant really say alot on that.
The new S-types are much improved over the old ones
Jag vs CTS V.....both great
